humble beginnings
The Fireplace Warehouse first started trading from a small workshop on Hartley Industrial Estate back in 1981 with a father and son partnership. At that time specialising in plaster surrounds and related products. As the business grew they expanded into manufacturing marble hearths and back panels which complimented the surrounds they were selling.
Moving on up
Always providing a full supply and installation service and with a growing reputation they moved into larger premises in 1996 which included a larger showroom, while allowing the manufacturing base to expand into making marble surrounds and a much larger range of gas appliances to compliment there fireplaces.
Current Showroom
In 2001 there was a need for a much larger display area so the move to the current showroom was made while the manufacturing remained in the factory. Today’s 6000 sq ft showroom includes over 200 fireplace displays with fireplaces still being manufactured in our own factory together with a huge array of Gas, Electric and Solid Fuel appliances coming from the leading UK manufacturers and manufacturers across Europe.
